The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

My recollections of Penn State are happy ones, punctuated by such memories as: "the wall" from where I was "banned" by my father b/c there were too many "hippies" there, Beaver Stadium & tailgate parties, being a "little sister" of fraternity Phi Kappa Tau, the Penn State Thespians, the Creamery, and finally, graduation day, most notably remembered when my father held up my BA degree, exclaiming: "this is my receipt!" After graduating with a dual degree in psychology and theatre arts, I spent several years in Washington D.C. and New York, finally settling down on Long Island. I have pursued ventures in the entertainment field as both a pianist-singer and as a lead singer; however, my primary vocation is as a licensed clinical social worker with expertise in the areas of addictive disorders, trauma intervention and impaired health professionals. In addition to my full-time job, I also have a private practice. On a more personal basis, I met my wonderful husband several years ago at Nassau County jail. No he was not an inmate, but rather a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and has since ventured on to other noble feats. We are blessed to be the "parronts" of three beautiful parrots, an african grey timneh, an orange wing amazon, and a dusky pionus, and spend much of our leisure time engaged in the art of "air traffic control", reading and watching movies, and playing tennis.
